FLOODGATES

Discovering the Treasure within You

Tithing is  one of the most controversial topics among believers and churches everywhere. For many the word “tithe” is synonymous with “tax”,  something you pay to God instead of offer to God. It is a delicate topic that causes an uneasiness; so much so that many believers tiptoe around the subject and dare not say the word above a whisper. But what if this archaic, old covenant concept is about more than money? What if it is the key that unlocks revelation?

This is not just another book about finances. Elisabeth Johnson unveils unique insights to the benefits of tithing. You will never look at tithing same. As she uncovers the mysteries of God’s intent toward the cheerful giver, you will come to understand God's desire to restore and reveal.

Candace Jones, The Attorney Next Door

Floodgates is a book about tithing that is Biblical and just makes plain sense.  Elisabeth Johnson takes a holy yet delicate topic that concerns many congregations in communities at large, and unloads a powerful message about God’s heart about tithes.  She discusses the financial benefits of tithing, but focuses more heavily on the true purpose and design of giving from our Father’s perspective. One of my favorite sentences from the book is when she says that, “From the beginning, He set up man to live eternally in abundant provision...eternally in purpose, and eternally in His presence.”  The book will leave you with something to re-think, and something to share with others.
